Description: These bracelets are vintage butterscotch swirl Bakelite. They have all been tested with Simichrome and 409. The bracelets are uniform in size and measure 3/8 wide x 7/16 thick x 2-5/8 inside. Stacked, they measure just over 1 inch tall. One bracelet has a small 3 mm nick toward the inside and hardly noticeable. This must have happened years ago because the patina is a constant color. Beautiful trio of matched bracelets!

Description: I would like to tell you the necklace is carved ivory, but since I am not completely sure it will be identified as bone. The mellow burnt orange color Bakelite beads are barrel shaped measuring aprox 1/2 x 1/2 inch. Each bead is individually hand knotted with intricately carved 1/2 inch long bone beads. The center bead is quite large measuring 1/2 x 1-1/2 inch long. Looking at the color of the Bakelite and patina plus the bone carved beads I would date this to the 1940's when safaris were extremely popular with the Hollywood crowd. There is a gold tone spring ring closure and this necklace measures 15-1/2 inches long.
