RARE Butterfly Wing Pendant Necklace From England

Description: Signed L.M. Sterling, England this necklace is from the 1930's. The sterling teardrop setting has and engraved edge with a glass protective cover over the pendant. The RARE butterfly wing is hand painted and quite rare in that this is not the typical blue morph. The setting is a palm tree surrounded by grass and sand, the ocean with mountains in the background. The pendant measures 5/8 x 1-7/8 tall and is clearly signed on the back. The snake chain necklace, catch and spring ring closure are all sterling silver signed 925,Italy. Excellent condition, quite a rare color, not as dark as the last picture shows.

Description:This elegant necklace and matching screw on earrings are vintage 1920. The setting for each c ameo is intricate wire worked sterling silver with a twisted rope edge and is marked 800 on the back of the oval. The cameos are lovely ladies carved from mother of pearl and have a beautiful silvery sheen, each with a unique color. The necklace pendant measures 1 inch long and can also be worn as a pin. The silver necklace measures 16 inches long. The earrings are 9/16 wide and dangle 7/8 long with ear wires that are marked 925.

Description: This lovely pendant necklace measures 16-1/2 inches long with a spring ring closure. The chain is lapped cable style and has a light rosy gold tone, cannot tell you that this is or is not the original necklace chain. The pendant setting is has beaded accents on both sides of the bail and in the delicate frame work around the pendant. The glass stone is swirled with colors of dark and light rosy pink, very much like a moonstone. The pendant measures 1-3/16 x 2-1/4 long, has kind vintage wear to the finish on the metal and the stone is beautiful with no visible imperfections.

Description: A lovely pendant necklace from the early 1920's, this has brassy gold tone findings and is signed Czechoslov on the jump ring. The necklace has barrel shaped, 12 mm golden topaz faceted glass beads with filigree bead clasp. They lead to a beautiful bezel set topaz glass center pendant. The florate setting is elevated aprox 1/4 inch high and measures 1 x 1-1/4 wide. The topaz glass stone has a nick about 2 mm on the edge of a facet, otherwise there are no problems with this necklace. Designed to be a choker, it measures 14-1/2 inches long and has a spring ring closure.

Description: This exquisite Czech faceted glass sautoir necklace is adorned with beautiful, scarlet red glass beads, The rope style necklace is lined with 5 and 8 mm multi sized faceted glass beads including 1-1/4 inch teardrop cut and 1-5/8 inch long tapered glass b eads. Small 2 mm glass spacers complete the adornment. The necklace measures 31 inches long and easily slips over the head. The dangling four part tassel adds another 3-1/2 inches to the length. Description: A fabulous c.1900 necklace, this has a delicate 19 inch brass chain with the inside of each link etched. There is an engraved round connector supporting a layered oval pendant. The pendant has an openwork florate motif with bead work and more engraving. There are two bezel set topaz glass 4 mm stones and a central glass oval 1-1/4 inch tall. The pendant measures 1-3/8 x 2 inches tall and dangles 2-3/4 inches from the top of the round connector.

Description: What a fabulous necklace! This vintage necklace has a generous gold tone chain measuring 27 inches long with a spring ring closure. The pendant is a stunning Austrian crystal ball with 9 and 11 mm stones measuring 1-1/4 inches diameter. All of the unfoiled faceted glass crystals are prong set with gold tone filigree bead caps on the top and base of the pendant. There are nine dangling stations comprised of 6 and 8 mm round crystals and fabulous 15 mm navettes. From the bail to the bottom of the crystals, this amazing pendant measures 4 inches. Excellent condition, no markings.

Description: This beautiful pewter pendant necklace is from Sweden, signed R. Tennesmed. Rune Tennesmed founded Rune Tennesmed AB in 1952. His production of handcrafted items started on a small scale and has expanded to a large, well-known company. This pewter necklace is 25 inches long with a fold over clasp. The impressive pendant is large, dangling 4 inches with an open work abstract upper section and dangling bottom portion with flat, circular cobalt glass inserts. The glass has 11 mm engraved concentric circles and is a beautiful contrast to the silver tone pewter setting. The pendant is 3/16 inch thick x 1-13/16 wide across the upper portion. The articulated base is connected with a jump ring to the top. Signed on the back it is in beautiful vintage condition with age related wear to the setting.

Description: Beautiful openwork copper setting signed Made in Norway with a hallmark resembling two R's side by side. The center has a bezel set Jasper stone often called Hornstone for is fine grain with a brown red color and underlying tones of gray. The small pencil point spot you see in gray is the natural stone color and not a flaw. This wonderful brooch measures 1-13/16 diameter with a C closure.

Description: A beautiful silver butterfly, this fellow is marked on the back 800 with a lozenge next to it. The information inside the lozenge is difficult to read but GE is visible making this a product of Genoa, Italy. The enamel is pale blue, Bermuda blue and bright green on the wings. The butterfly head and antennae are solid, the tail is engraved. The silver is sterling cannetille and this pin is simply beautiful. The butterfly measures 1-1/4 x 1-5/8 wide. No signs of wear, he is in excellent condition.

Description: A beautiful silver butterfly, this fellow is marked on the back 800 with a lozenge next to it. Typically, these pins were made in Genoa, Italy by a true master of the arts. The information inside the lozenge is difficult to read due to age and it doesn't show up in the pictures, but is there. The enamel is pale blue, Bermuda blue, bright green and yellow green on the wings and upper part of the body. The beautiful colors are rainbow like with one fading into the next. The silver is sterling cannetille and this pin is just beautiful. This butterfly measures 1-1/8 x 1-15/16 wide. There is only one tiny spot of wear to the enamel on one wing.

Description: This is one of the oldest butterfly brooches I have offered in a long time. This brooch does not have the compulsory national crescent moon and crown mark as required by German law in 1888. From the Late Victorian era, the pin is marked Sterling, Germany with the makers initials MBE in a plaque. The butterfly has beautiful poured glass cabochons in Capri blue, lime green and topaz dotting the upper and lower wings. The body is made of poured glass in two distinct colors. The lower body is lime green with silver and gold striations. The upper portion is Capri blue with a small part of the uppermost section missing. This pin has not been polished and is in exceptional condition for its age. There is an old C catch with a pin that looks like it was wound around the hinge. the pin is slightly bent but that is not a problem. The brooch measures 1 x 2 inches wide and is a just a wonderful piece of historical costume jewelry.

Description: This fabulous peacock figural is signed Portugal. The cloisonne enamel on his tail feathers is cobalt blue with lighter blue eyes and the edges of the feathers are outlined with a bright green color. The interior of the feathers are open work filigree silver. The head and neck are blue, the crown and chest are bright yellow and the upper part of his legs are green. He measures 1-9/16 x 1-3/8 tall and has an old C closure. Not marked, but he does test positive for silver content. In the center of the back he is signed Portugal with a small star underneath the signature. Just a Superb bird!
